    When I reflect back on my life…⠀ β € I see a mixture of things including pain, mistakes, and heartache. But I have faith in the journey because everything had to happen exactly the way it did to get me where I’m going next. I have learned many valuable lessons in life and the greatest lessons are usually learned at the worst times and from the worst mistakes.β € β € Things don’t always turn out the way I plan, somethings go wrong that can’t be fixed, or put back together the way it was before but no matter how broken and damaged I may feel, I always remember that I can and will get through the bad times and to keep looking for better ones. One thing that will never change is the fact that I WILL ALWAYS stand strong for myself. This is ME continually working on ME… and THAT will never change.

    Different and challenging. Try this push-up challenge if you’re an athlete/lifter/challenge seeker looking to challenge your whole body. β € β € You can do it the first way with a normal push-up on the band or you can add in lifting one leg in front of you at the same time. β € β € The second move is crazy hard. I personally did 4 sets of 6-8 reps. Try more or less! Up to you! β € β € *Before you ask, the band is safe and will not break. These bands are designed for gym use. They come in different width/length so you can choose your band accordingly.

There are many benefits to doing snatch or the hip/ hang snatch movement so let me list a couple now! _ 1) Increased Proprioception: Put simply, proprioception is an awareness of where your body is situated in space. It’s a big deal: not only does better proprioception reduce the risk of injuries, including minor injuries like ankle sprains, there’s evidence that it can improve brain function. _ 2) Quicker Reflexes: The snatch happens fast. The lifter has only the briefest of moments to pull him or herself under the bar while jumping under it to catch it before it starts accelerating to the floor. NOTHING makes the body learn a skill like the risk of a heavy weight dropping on its head, weightlifting teaches lightning-fast reactive times, which is a skill that transfers to everything from football to boxing. - 3) More Explosive Power and Force Production: Why is force so important? A heightened ability to produce force means an athlete is able to move a weight faster, more efficiently, and in a more coordinated manner.
