You spend just a couple of hours of your time preparing for your week ahead, you have absolutely no reason to fail! The meals are prepped. Since I’m really bad at getting my veggies in my amazing wife @chelseyjanso picked me up some powdered greens from Naturo Sciences and then each workout this week is going to be powered by @yellowstonenutra they sent me a sample container to try out. So I’m going to be putting it to the test. Plan ahead or prepare to fail.

Everyday your going to run into something or someone that is going to try and knock you down. It will try to make you quit, it will try to make you go in the wrong direction, it will deter you from your goals and dreams. But you just have to keep your head down and keep working. Do not let these people or things ruin what you are going towards. ~ It’s something I am working on as I let to much noise into my head which gets me off track of what I should be doing. So I have found that if I spend more time with headphones in and less time listening to the noise around me I get more done, I feel better by the end of the day, and I end up being a happier person. ~ What are things you do to stay on track and drown out the negative noise?

So as much as it sucks to do the stair master at the end of every workout, it does have its benefits. It gives me 20 minutes to reflect on my previous day, it gives me 20 minutes to think about my day ahead, it gives me 20 minutes to think about changes I want to make. • So as I was on the stair master this morning I reflected on yesterday. I reflected on how my day started out great. I felt good, felt happy and positive. But as the day went on things started to happen around me, which changed my thoughts towards a more negative mindset. The environment and what was around me set it up and I started manifesting negative thoughts. Now these things around me are things that won’t ever change and I know that, but I still let them bother me. But then I also reflected back to yesterday to think about all of the great things that happened. We will fast forward through the day. 3-3:30pm had a great phone call with a guy I consider my brother. We talked about mindset, changes, moving forward, just a overall positive phone call. Then I get home see my wife and at 4pm little man wakes up from his nap and it was play time for us. So as fast as a negative situation arises you can quickly get back to a positive one. Positive thought = positive actions = positive results!

3:28am two minutes before my alarm 🚨 . I woke up and I felt something crazy. I was super happy 😃 and full of gratitude 🙏🏻 . Why you ask? Well for a few reasons. One I am trying to focus more on positive 👍 thoughts 💭 over negative 👎 thoughts 💭 . (It’s all about your mindset.) I woke up happy because I felt good, because I have this feeling deep down that something great is coming my way very soon, and because I have so much in my life already that I’m grateful for even if other parts of life aren’t going my way yet. Spend more time thinking 🤔 about all you have to be thankful for, while thinking 🤔 about ways to fix the parts your not happy with. Positive thoughts = positive actions = positive results.

The amount of weight you “can” do is irrelevant if your form is terrible. Focus on your form, while slowly building up the weight! #tuesdaystip

The challenge question this week is what is your why? Why am I doing this. It’s simple, I have two reasons for doing this. Number one is for me. I want to just be healthy, look good, and feel good. It’s that simple. My number two is the biggest reason why I am doing this. I am doing this lifestyle for my family. I see how other family members and friends struggle with their health and I don’t want to end up like that. I want to make sure I can be the best version of myself for my son and my wife. I want to be able to live a long and healthy life with my wife. Grow old together while being healthy! I want to make sure I am healthy enough to live to see my son grow up and have a family of his own, I want to show my son that hard work achieves whatever you put your mind to. Like my good friend @mifitnesshub says #leadbyexample that’s what I plan to do.

Mindset is everything. Today I could have woke up and started the day with a negative outlook because it was cold & snowy in Minnesota. But I didn’t. I woke up thought about how great I’m going to make this Monday. Cleaned off the car and headed to the gym for a early morning leg workout followed by 20 mins on the stairs again. #mondaymotivation

You have to motivate yourself to want this. Nobody else is going to do it for you. You have to want this bad enough that no matter what obstacles, hard times, or people get in your way you just keep going. I fully support giving people advice, or a positive push. But it still comes down to how bad you want it. Because at the end of the day you are the only one who can make you achieve your goals. ~ I have officially signed up for the #250kchallenge with @bodybuildingcom so get ready big things are coming. Just remember even if you don’t win the contest, you are still winning by becoming healthier!

These are 8 guys that all have one big thing in common. They are all fathers and they all care about their health. Now there is a couple that I am very close with in life and a couple that I just know from the internet. But here is the thing about all 8 of these guys, they ALL put family first without sacrificing their health. They prove that just because you have a family doesn’t mean you don’t work on your goals and dreams. They prove that living a healthy lifestyle is still possible with a family, they are all leading by example for their kids, showing that you can live a busy life and still take care of yourself. They all motivate me to keep being a better father to my little boy. Show some love to all of these Dads who are proving that the whole “dadbod” is just an excuse for you giving up. ~ @mattstewart813 @winatlifetraining @spikerfit @kyle_depiesse @capaulus @mifitnesshub @ryyyyan @brandanfokken ~ #dadbod #dadlife #dadswholift #dadsofinstagram #father #family #motivation #positive #leadbyexample #noexcuses #fitdad #fitfam #fitness #fit #health #healthy #goals #hardwork #workout #yourtruevalue #lifestyle #life #love #journey

The future is greatly different than your life now, the actions that you take must also be greatly different. You cannot do the same thing and get something different.

    - -Up at 3:30am -It’s -5 degrees in MN -Walked the dog 🐶 -Gym by 4am -Killed a shoulder workout -Then finished with 20min on the stair master. So what is your excuse for why you can’t achieve your goals? Trust me days like today are hard when it’s this cold. I just wanted to crawl back in bed 🛏 where is was warm. But I didn’t. I got up, embraced the cold, and finished strong 💪🏼. Now my day is setup for success. It’s mind over matter! #friday

We all talk about how we are going to change this or that in life. But we never do. Why? Because we are comfortable, because we don’t like change, and because we don’t know how to change. We are stuck in that comfort zone and it’s hard to leave once you are there. We want to achieve greatness in our lives, but we keep doing the same routine day in and day out expecting something to change. But nothing ever changes. We look at every reason why we won’t succeed before we even try which automatically sets us up for failure, We look for motivation to help us change, but deep down you know if you want to change you have just dig deep, push through, struggle for a little, and change some of your daily routines. I am guilty of all of this. I’m working on breaking all of these bad habits because I know I have to. For me, for my wife, and for my son. I know I have so much to offer this world and it’s time I find out what my talents are and what my purpose is. So to end this I’ll just finish with a quote I saw the other day. ~ “ When I stand before god at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘ I used everything you gave me’.”

We are 10 days into the new year. Are you still working towards your goals? I’ve now added 20min of stair master to the end of each workout and it’s an absolute game changer.
