    For #love day, we want to give some love to Irfan! Irfan has been with us for almost 8 months. He is such a #consistent and hard working guy! Irfan is a father of twin girls and a young boy. He juggled work, #daddy duty and training with the ease that anyone would envy. He inspires us to be better examples to our #community and is one of our pillars in our tight knit family here at CrossFit YYZ. His #fitness capacity has improved so much and it is incredible to see how he continues to get #stronger and stronger. He did a 3x5 of tempo strict pull ups with ease the other day.     Meal Prep Madness! Prepping your meals is one of the best ways to plan for success. #Life easily gets crazy and diet is usually the first to fall to the wayside. Here are some tips and tricks we use: - - 1. Cook big batches of food you actually like. Nothing sucks more than forcing yourself to eat a meal full of ingredients that you dont like! - - 2. Use a slow cooker! Stuff it full of ground beef, #veggies, #spices and crushed tomato before you leave for #work. Come home from a long day and BOOOOM, youve got a big batch of chilli for dinner. Portion and freeze the rest. You can do the same to make stews and soups. #YUM. - - 3. Use airtight containers. The quality of meals is hard to maintain when you cook in bulk. Airtight containers (preferably glass) do a good job to keep your meals for about 3 days!     It’s that time of year again. The worldwide CrossFit open is upon us! What is the open? The Open is comprised of five workouts over five weeks, and it starts with 18.1. Open workouts are identified by their year and the order in which they appear. The workouts will be released every Thursday during the five weeks of the Open, and you can watch the live announcement of the workout that will be streamed on the CrossFit Games website.
