    I’m sitting on the couch planning my week and making lists, lots of lists. I’ve being doing a lot of research about the science of living a grateful life and having a daily gratitude practice and I’ve decided the theme of my week is going to be all about having an attitude of gratitude. Research shows that being and feeling grateful leads to happiness and not the other way around (happiness leading to gratitude) the more we practice being grateful for all the wonderful things in our lives and the less we focus on what we don’t have the happier we will be. Simple, right? Yes it is!! get yourself a gratitude journal and start writing down 10 things you are grateful for in the morning and evening ( I am grateful for Xxx) Watch your perspective and mood shift.     What an amazing way to spend a Sunday morning with @rise_to_the_outdoors - jumping into cold water scares the s%$t out of me so I was trying not to panic as we descended into the coldest water EVER ❄️❄️❄️🌊 It definitely took my breath away and I couldn’t have done it without the ❤️ and support from the best #fitfam in town.     I’ve been thinking a lot about my career lately and the journey I’ve been on. I definitely don’t have all the answers but one thing I know for sure is if you don’t love what you do, then you may never feel truly fulfilled. Since I left my corporate job, I gave up all the material possessions that I thought made me feel good. In the end, all that unnecessary stuff was making me feel worse and even emptier inside. Once I started doing what I enjoyed daily, that emptiness inside began to go away. I had less material things but was more fulfilled and happy laying in bed at night. 🌸 I had a real purpose. The minute I stopped striving for more and more money and spent some time focusing on my own personal happiness my whole world shifted for the better. Love what you do and love will come to you 💕❤️ #happyvalentinesday #loveyourself

    **Finding a yoga style you enjoy*** - - Since I started teaching yoga and tying to persuade everyone around me to try it, it felt like trying to convince a six-year-old to eat broccoli. They either like broccoli, or they don’t, and you forcing it is only going to make them even more adamant that they hate broccoli. Unlike broccoli, there are many different styles of yoga. One style being completely different from other styles. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of Bikram hot yoga. I find the class uncomfortable and it’s a set sequence (always the same) so I always know what’s coming next (also something I’m not a fan of) There are also massive benefits to a bikram class (mastery of the sequence, increased flexibility, joint mobility) I love vinyasa style yoga which is almost a themed and choreographed flow and differs from teacher to teacher and day to day. All yoga styles have their benefits, drawbacks and fan base. Just because you disliked one yoga class you went to 5 years ago does not mean you won’t absolutely fall in love with the next teacher and class. 💕❤️Yoga is good for the body and soul. You reap the benefits of physically moving and it’s also a meditative practice. If you haven’t already done so, try a yoga class that you haven’t done before and see if you can change your view of the practice 🧘‍♀️🙏 #namaste #humpday #teachertraining
