What a country πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . Vietnam you have been a beautiful end to our travels of Asia and my favourite country so far. Already can’t wait to come back and explore even more of this amazing country πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . Australia here we come πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί ✈️

Vietnam: day 13&14: Hanoi πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . Army museum, Hoa Lo prison, women’s museum, temple of literature and Hanoi flag tower were all amazing things to see. . . Exploring the city makes me even more excited to come back one day soon πŸ‡»πŸ‡³

Vietnam: day 11&12: HΓ  Long Bay πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . This is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places I have ever laid eyes on. . . Hearing the stories from the locals of how the bay was formed was so interesting. Legend goes that when Vietnam was being invaded by China, a family of dragons incinerated the ships with their fire and giant emeralds by request of the gods. The emeralds which dropped into the sea, turned into the thousands of islands and islets of different shapes and sizes. πŸ›³πŸ‡»πŸ‡³

Vietnam: day 9&10: HΓ  Nα»™i πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . After our lovely 15 hour overnight train we finally arrived in HΓ  Nα»™i and what a city it is. We’ve spent these two days wandering around the old quarter and finding a reputable company to book our Ha Long Bay tour with, which hopefully we have πŸ™ . . Of a weekend they close off all car/bike access around the Hoan Kiem Lake and all the locals and backpackers take part in various activities. Singing, dancing, skipping, magic, jianzi, segways and so much more! . . Here is my favourite picture so far of The Huc Bridge in the old quarter. πŸŒ‰

Vietnam: day 7&8: Hue πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . Arriving late afternoon meant we only really had one full day to see Hue so we booked a city tour and it was amazing! . . Minh Mang tomb, Tu Duc Tomb, Khai Dinh Tomb, Royal Palaces and Imperial city (The Citadel) Every single one was great to see but the citadel was my favourite, seeing the sacred grounds which were bombed and attacked during the war was crazy, especially because there is bullet holes littering almost every wall along with mortar damage and the worst napalm scorched onto the buildings ruins! . . Another 15 hour overnight train and we have arrived in HΓ  Nα»™i πŸ‡»πŸ‡³

Vietnam: day 5&6: Hoi An πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ . . After a long night of travelling we finally arrived in Hoi An and my god what a city it is! Exploring the ancient town was amazing, visiting so many places! Quang Trieu Assembly Hall, Quan Cong Temple, Quan Am Pagoda, Museum of Folk Culture and the Japanese covered bridge. πŸ‘« . My two favourite things that we did was visit the precious heritage art gallery museum where words cannot describe the true beauty behind this museum and I would urge anyone in Vietnam to go. Secondly we did a food tour and even though we are eating local foods, it was good to learn more about them and eat with locals. Again this is a must do as not only is it informative the food is amazing too πŸ‡»πŸ‡³
