More than 2 weeks have gone by and the de facto leader of Myanmar and Nobel prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi still hasn't released a statement or established any actions to avoid or stop the violation of human rights that the Rohingya are currently facing.
Since August 25th, thousands of Rohingya have fled their country escaping from the ethnic cleansing that the army is executing. Most of them have fled to Bangladesh, others who have settled in India are now facing the risk of deportation, which will put them in danger of torture and death.
We stand with the Rohingya and demand an immediate response from the government. Their lives should be respected.

An ISIL car bombing in eastern Syria produced the death of at least 20 people, around 30 people were injured as well. The attack occurred today in a site where displaced families had a camp, in an area that’s controlled by the Syrian governments. It’s believed that most of victims were children. Innocent people shouldn’t be attacked and murdered by groups that are trying to cause terror to citizens. Syrians deserve a better life and a better country, and we hope that justice will be made. Last night, the results of the postal survey for same-sex marriage in Australia were revealed. In total, 61.6% of those who voted supported marriage equality in the county, meaning that same-sex marriage won the majority of the survey. Now, it’s up to the Australian Parliament to legalize it. We stand with the LGBTQ community and with Australians in this important moment. Marriage should be equal for everyone and minorities should be granted the same rights. Currently, there are 34 Nubian activist detained in Egypt for peacefully protesting for their right to be admitted into the territory. Supposedly, their case should be presented in front of a judge today, but their court hearing has been postponed several times. During their time in jail, one of them, Gamal Sorour, who is also a French citizen and businessman, died from a diabetic coma. Authorities denied him proper and prompt medical care. As human rights defenders and activists, we condemn the injustices that these men are currently suffering. We ask for justice and for their rights to be respected. This weekend, the world witnessed one of the deadliest shootings in the history of the United States. At least 27 people were shot by a gunman while attending a mass at a church in Sutherland Springs, TX. The reasons of the shooting still remain unknown, but the problem with gun ownership in the U.S. is again on the table. Why should the right to own a gun be above the right to live? We again raise our voice to ask for gun control. Innocent people’s lives shouldn’t be put at risk. Credits: @fmpinilla #HumanRights #PrayForTexas #Texas #GunControl #Life

Last week, a pro-ISIS media group released a poster that depicted soccer players behind bars and filled with blood. The doctored images included threats against the World Cup that will take place next summer in Russia. From A World With No Gags we reject and condemn these attacks against the soccer players and against one of the most important sports event in the world. Terror and hate are never the answer, and we won’t allow their fear tactics to negatively affect us. Credits: @fmpinilla #WorldCup #World #Sports #HumanRights #Peace

#DidYouKnow that at least 805 journalists have been killed for bringing information and news to people since 1992? On average, it’s estimated than 1 journalist dies per week. In 9 of 10 cases of murder against journalists, the killer goes unpunished. The countries with the highest impunity index in journalists murders are Somalia, Syria and Iraq. Without journalists, we wouldn’t have access to information of public interest or knowledge about the problems that societies and countries face every day. For this cause, we most join the cause to protect journalists and to ask for an end to the impunity in these crimes. #Journalism #HumanRights #Impunity #Justice

“Better city, better life”. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) reported today that carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere increased at record-breaking speed last year and, if nothing is done to control this, the world will experience dangerous temperature increases by 2100. Nevertheless, according to scientists, greenhouse gasses are fueling climate change and the impact of the effect is already perceived around the world. We join the call issued by the UN to ask countries and governments to implement policies that reduce to emission of carbon dioxide and other harmful gasses. This is the only world we have, and we must do everything we can to protect it. Credits: Alfredo Martirena (Via @cartoonmovement) #ClimateChange #GlobalWarming #Environment #Ecology

On Sunday, dozens of children had to flee a kindergarten located in the region of east Ghouta in Syria after government forces allegedly bombed the site. This territory has been under siege for years and is currently under control of the rebel groups. Children of this region has been to known to suffer from malnutrition, since a shortage of food and milk has been going on for years. Also, activists haven't been able to reach towns and cities to vaccinate the kids against polio. Children have been one of the most affected by the Syrian conflict. @unicef currently estimate that there are 5.8 million kids in need and that at least 2 million are under siege or in hard to reach places. “Only your ID to vote?” One of the many irregularities that occurred this Sunday during the elections in Venezuela, was that in some voting centers officials demanded the “carnet de la patria” to vote, even if this procedure is against the law. We condemn this act of intimidation and coercion that impeded the full exercise of the right to vote. Credits: @fmpinilla #Venezuela #Justice #Democracy #Rights

This weekend, Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, suffered one of the worst terrorist attacks in modern history. A truck bomb exploded in a main street, causing more than 300 deaths and hundreds of injuries. The magnitude of the attack was so enormous that hospitals in the region couldn't handle the flow of injured people. Currently, Somalia has declared three days of mourning and is expecting to receive medical aid from Turkey, Kenya and Ethiopia. Today we commemorate World Food Day, a date created by the @unfao in 1979 to bring awareness about the importance of food and proper nutrition, and about the need to eradicate hunger. Nevertheless, the @wfpusa estimates that about 870 million people worldwide suffer each day from hunger. That hunger usually derives from malnutrition or from eating less than the lowest amount of daily recommended calories, while often enduring food insecurity. #WordFoodDay #Hunger #HumanRights #Food

As we commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child is important to remember that there are some countries where girls don't have the same rights that boys have, where girls are forced into child marriage and where girls are denied an education. On this day, we ask every country that doesn't recognize girls' rights to modernize their laws and legislations so that girls can enjoy all of their fundamental rights. #Girl #InternationalGirlDay #GirlsRights #HumanRights #Equality

The death penalty is an obsolete and inhuman punishment that violates the right to life, which is one of the most important rights. According to a report by @amnesty, 141 countries have abolished the death penalty by law or by practice. Nevertheless, in 2016, 1.032 people were executed after being sentenced to the death penalty. This number doesn't include China, since the government doesn't release this type of data because it's considered a State secret. From A World With No Gags, we condemn and reject the implementation of the death penalty and we ask every country to abolish it. #DeathPenalty #Life #RightToLife #HumanRights
