There are many who are confused, humility is the fear of God and not having to do with the standing of a man amongst the people and neither is it having to do with how he chooses to see himself compared to the rest.
There are many among you who have attached their worth to things that perish, and others who put their worth on objects which will outlast their own lives, where is the sense in this?
It is as senseless as the one who puts his own title above his head. What good is it to be called a king if you are not crowned by God? Who is wealthy if what they have does not come from the Father? Has man so easily forgotten that what God has given no one has authority to take away? Unlike man who all that he obtains on his own may be gone with today by tomorrow.
Be proud of the good things that you have done, take pride in what God has given to you, and do not make the mistake to put value on that which does not truly matter. Your worth comes from God, and He does not make mistakes. He is like a potter, every man and woman is molded by His two hands into a state of perfection, and like the potter who shows off their abilities there are many different designs and no two are exactly alike, there are some pots made for common use and others for special purposes, so it is like man. Some men come to be crowned kings and others are judges, some are prophets, and the rest are people of God, each with different abilities and talents. Take pride in your position and in every daily duty of your work, like it is said by King Solomon, those skilled will serve before kings and not those of low rank. (For more about this read Proverbs)
