Why do we turn to food when we feel #stressed #tired #anxious angry hell even when we are #happy or #celebrating ⁉️ We are a nation that eats!!! Sorry, overeats‼️ celebrating.....fair enough 🎉 however too many of us lose ourselves in food for the wrong reasons.....we try to eat our negative feelings away ☹️🍪🍩🍫 do we feel better for it? 🤔
Do we hell!!!! And don't deny it!!!! I know I feel better until I've finished devouring whatever it is - because I can guarantee I wouldn't have eaten something #healthy 😬 ‼️ but then how am I left feeling❓❓❓ well, #guilty for one and for two.....my feelings are still there....in fact they've deepened 😔 because not only have I not dealt with them, I've eaten them to death and they've strengthened!!!! #negative thoughts 💭
Bad days, angry emotions, just generally feeling low......it happens to all of us....BUT if we don't address those feelings they can snowball into something quite terrifying - that can lead to #depression #selfhating #selfharming and who do we take it out on??? Ourselves and the people we #love the most.
