So as college came to an end, I had to start thinking about what I would do after college. At the time I knew I wanted to have field work and I figured getting into the oil industry would be a great path to take. Well life doesn’t always go how you want and I had no luck getting into the oil industry as they were not looking for entry level positions. Instead I found a job that has led me toward the life I truly want to live, the travel life. Going into the oil industry might still happen one day but for now my plans include long term travel. People often wonder how I can possibly make that happen. Well I found a way and you can make it happen as well, just click the link in my bio to get started today!

In college the best students are usually the ones with the right mindset. Most students have one of two mindsets, a fixed mindset or a growth mindset. . With a fixed mindset, a student will just accept that something is too hard or that they are not good at something. But with a growth mindset, a student will believe they can accomplish any task they set their mind to. They believe they will be able to improve in anything they try to do. While this is key to a student’s success this can also be applied to everyday life, long after college. . Do you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset? Growth is the way to success! So when you are ready to grow yourself and live the life of your dreams, click the link in my bio and I will help you get started!

In addition to getting a degree in Ocean Engineer, I also decided to get a minor in Sustainability. The main reason I decided to do it was because it would not be many more classes and I thought it would look good on my resume. Well now, more than 3 years later, it has not been needed. Maybe one day it will be beneficial to have on my resume but for now it’s just words on a piece of paper. Have you ever done something that didn’t take much extra effort just because you thought it might be good for you? Has it actually helped you out since you did it? Comment below!

While in college all of the engineering majors had to do a Senior Design Project. Majoring in Ocean Engineering meant that my project would relate to the ocean somehow and the project I ended up on was generating energy from waves. In the picture you can actually see my project while we were at sea testing it! We ended up successfully generating energy, although not as much as anticipated. This was probably the coolest, and hardest, project I did in college and it involved using many skills that still apply to my life today. Have you ever had a project that had a huge impact on your life? Talk about it in the comments below!

So in college there are many organizations that students can join. Some of the best ones to join are professional societies. While I was in college I joined my school’s chapter of SNAME (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers). While on campus we did not do much, but every year we would send a group of students to the annual conference. I was fortunate enough to go 3 out of my 4 years in college. At these conferences I learned a lot more about the professional world and I got my first taste of non-vacation travel. I would like to say the professional connections were the best thing I got out of the conferences but in reality these conferences were just an awesome travel experience. Have you ever done something where you had a great time but you did not get anything you originally expected out of it? If so, comment below about the experience!

So engineering degrees in college have a lot of classes that have labs where experiments are done related to the material covered in class. Some of these labs are not too enjoyable while others were actually really cool. This is just like in life where you will have things that you really do not enjoy and others that you love to do. One key in life is to figure out how to eliminate as many tasks that you do not enjoy as possible. By eliminating that which you despise you are setting yourself up for a more enjoyable future. Are you ready to eliminate the negative in your life and do more of what you love? Click the link in my bio and get started with me today! You will grow to love your life when you make the change!

So I went to college at Florida Institute of Technology. When I started I knew I wanted to do engineering but I had no idea what field of engineering. So when I started, I did General Engineering. We had an Introduction to Engineering class where the real purpose of the class was to present the different fields of engineering so that by the end of the semester we could declare one as our major. The field that interested me the most of Ocean Engineering so that is what I decided to do. I always loved the water so it seemed like a good fit. 7 years later I am still happy with my choice because otherwise I would be living a completely different life right now! What is a life decision you made that greatly impacted your life? Comment below!

I have always enjoyed taking vacations. It is so much fun to do something outside of the normal day to day activities. As I got older and took longer vacations to places further away I started to want to just keep going, keep seeing more. After this I have built up the desire to travel full time and have  actually found a way to do it! I am now traveling more than ever before, spending more time away than I do at home. In the near future I plan to have no home to return to and become a true full time traveler! If you want to learn more about the steps I have taken to get to this point then click the link below! I would love to show you how you too can have this life!

A lot of people are scared to travel full time. They want to see the world but are scared to actually leave. I think I was always scared to go to many countries because I am not able to speak the language and I get worried about trying to communicate in a situation like that. But now I am excited to go to other countries. I still am nervous to go to a country that I do not know the language but now I have a bit fun to go through the process of communicating using hand signals and such! What are you fears about traveling? Comment below!

There is one thing I really don’t like about vacations, the end. I hate endings, they are too final. That’s why I only ever say see you later, not good bye. Vacations have this same feeling. So instead of taking vacations my true dream is full time travel. With full time travel there is no real end. Sure you will leave a country to go to another one but it never feels like the end, just another beginning! Do you prefer shorter vacations or would you rather experience full time travel? Comment below!

  • travellustphotos

When you are taking a vacation you have a limited amount of time to see everything. If you only have one week in a country then you time line to see the attractions will be very tight. If you are doing full time travel you can take your time to visit everything you want and if you miss something one day you can always do it another day without anything to worry about. You can also just take a day to relax without worrying that you will not have time to fit everything in still! To me this is a lot more enjoyable than rushing to get everything in like a traditional vacation. Do you prefer to have some down time when traveling or be nonstop to see as much as possible? Comment below!

Another thing I do not care for about vacations is you often have a fixed itinerary. Sure you can make some changes but say you get to a city and realize you don’t like it as much as you thought you would. It is usually easier to stay and just avoid it next time. With full time travel you can just move on to the next location and hopefully it is better! I prefer this method of staying where I want and leaving the places I don’t care for as much! When you finish a vacation you just go home, back to your normal day to day life. Sure maybe you will spend a couple days talking about your trip and sharing photos but otherwise its back to the normal days. When you are doing full time travel you have no home life to return to. Your home is wherever you are staying at the time. This is my dream way to see the world. I want to go from one place to the next moving my home with me! Would you rather have a home to return to or call your home wherever you are at the time? Comment below!

A lot of people feel like they do not have the time to do what they love. Yet many of them spend hours everyday watching TV or scrolling through Facebook or any other number of things. I'm not saying it's bad to do those things but if you feel like you don't have time to do what you love maybe you need to decide to do what you love instead of making the excuses and doing nothing with your time. If you love nature then take a few minutes to stop by a park sometime in the day and just take it in. All it takes is a few minutes, you probably pass by one on your way to or from work everyday. Apply this to anything you love in your life and enjoy your life instead of wasting it! Click the link in my bio to learn more about living a life you love!

I often find it crazy that some people do not want to travel the world. To me it is absolutely amazing! But then I start thinking, maybe they have a good reason. Maybe they have family concerns and can't go anywhere. Maybe they are terrified of flying, or maybe they fear something will happen to them while traveling. A lot of times I think fear of something is the main reason they don't want to travel. It makes me a little sad that they miss so much because of a fear for something. Do you have a fear that is preventing you from traveling? If so contact me and I will help you work through your fear! And if you don't need to work through a fear but don't know how to get started, click the link in my bio and I will help you make it happen!

This is St. Mary's Cathedral in Ireland. I did not go inside the cathedral but I had to stop while walking to take a look around the outside. It is very beautiful to look at! Planned trips are great but sometimes you find the best things when you are just walking around aimlessly and stumble upon them! Have your ever randomly come across something amazing when traveling that was unplanned? Comment below! 👇

This is at King John's Castle in Ireland. It is very well presented but does not offer as much to explore. My favorite part was actually seeing the foundation where they show how siege tunnels were created under the castle during times of war. Although this was not my favorite castle it was still cool. I always want to see things I would not normally see when I travel so this was still worth seeing! When you are ready to start traveling the world more often, click the link in my bio and I will help you get started!

So this is Bunratty Castle in Ireland! It's actually pretty cool to see and you can go all the way to the top! They have a lot of interesting historical items inside as well! I think this was my second favorite castle I went to on this trip! What cool castles have you been to?

When I think of this photo of the Cliffs of Moher, I think of beautiful things. One thing that can be beautiful but is often seen as ugly is money. A lot of people have a love/hate relationship with money and that's really a shame. When you feel hate toward something you are pushing it out of your life so by hating money you are actually wishing to have less money. I know this is hard for many people to accept but one key to being wealthy is to have a positive attitude toward money. See it as a way to make your life better. Think how it will feel to have enough money to eliminate all worries about money. If you truly do this you will start to see some change in your life when it comes to money! This was seriously one of the best places I have seen so far in my life!! The weather was absolutely perfect this day and the Cliffs of Moher were able to show off their beauty for us! Next time I go back I am going to take a boat ride to see them from the bottom! That will be a while though because I have too many other places I want to visit first!
